Day 1 of 9
Hello Wanderlust, for this trip, we’re bound for Singapore and Bangkok which also includes a quick day trip to JB Malaysia. My fave travel buddy and I decided to do this 9-day tri-country trip to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. So online travel buddies, sit back and relax as we take you to SG, BKK and a little bit of Malaysia through my camera lens and stories to tell.
1300 – 1600 Flight to Singapore
1600 – 1700 Arrival & Travel to Hotel
1700 – 1930 Rest Time & Freshen Up
1930 – 2030 Dinner Time
My boo and I were too early for the flight, thus it gives us ample time to roam and wander at the airport. For those who’ve been in NAIA Terminal 3, you can say that this is quite small for an international airport, so it didn’t take much of our time, hence leaving us with more than an hour of waiting. The good thing is that wherever I go, I make sure to bring a book with me, for this trip I brought Stephenie Meyer’s the short second life of Bree Tanner which is a companion novel of my ever fave twilight series.
At last, it’s boarding time! I’m excited & happy that finally in a few hours, we will be arriving in our chosen destination. Do you get the same feeling when boarding? We traveled to Hongkong and Macau early last year and this trip is actually our third out of the country tour as a couple and we’re anticipating that it would be a lot of fun and of course mushy and romantic as well.
Manila to Singapore flight time is around 3 hours and 40 mins more or less without any delays, on board, I continue my reading and while my boo takes his power nap. We flew via Cebu Pacific for its price and as a result, we have to compromise with almost every aspect of our flight but it really doesn’t matter since this is just a short haul, though an additional in-flight entertainment would be a great time snapper.
After the almost 4-hour flight, thanks God, we landed safely. Pass the immigration immediately and get our bags as fast as we could. Thankfully, my cousin/bestie Gelai already arranged our airport pick up prior to our arrival. A friend of hers was already waiting for us and took us directly to our hotel. We hopped on a regular taxi and it took us about 20-25 minutes before we reach the hotel. After check-in, we rest for a while, then freshen up and get ready as we embark on a very important mission — our first SG food adventure 🙂
There’s no restaurant within the hotel premise, but eateries and hawkers are available within reach. Balestier Market is a stone throw away from the hotel so we just walk and found ourselves with these delicious local food selections and so, the SG food Adventures begin in 3.2.1 😋
Right after dinner, we headed back to the hotel, did some work and slept early as we need to boost our energy for the next day itinerary. Anyways, I’m hoping that the photos somehow make you crave (ha-ha-ha ^_^) and honestly, we really did enjoy our first gastronomic adventure here in Singapore. 😋
