Day 2 of 4

Hello Wanderlust! I’ve been meaning to see Petronas for awhile and at last, I had an intimate date with the iconic twin towers today. I chose Trader’s Hotel for its strategic location and true enough, we thoroughly relished our stay and took advantage of its spectacular view of Petronas and the rest of KLCC. So take a breather and enjoy the photos 🙂

KLCC

We started our journey with a quick but stomach filling breakfast goodies at Fraser’s and then checkout immediately and went straight to Traders which is a few minutes away. I booked Trader’s Club room so we had an access to its executive club lounge and checked-in earlier than the usual check-in time. After checking-in, we went straight to our room to leave our bags and start exploring KLCC the soonest.

KLCC stands for Kuala Lumpur City Center and is the heart of the city. It’s also the core of commercial activities in Malaysia and since Trader’s is within KLCC anything is within reach.

Along the way we noticed some expo going on.

SURIA KLCC

One of the biggest malls in KLCC boasting 400 stores both local and international brands. We did some window shopping, bought some stuff at Roxy and right after, headed to food court and had our late lunch there in a Japanese style fast food chain called Ichigo.

TRADER’S CLUB LOUNGE

After immersing through the city center, we went to Trader’s club lounge to drink and enjoy their cocktail hours. This is part of the Trader’s Club lounge access, we get to enjoy unlimited rounds of beverages throughout the day, an afternoon tea and of course the happy cocktail hours.

MARDI GRAS PARTY AT SKY BAR

Sky bar as the name imply Sky is the rooftop bar of  the Traders Hotel. Located on the 33rd floor and features a variety of cocktails, themed parties and voted as one of the best rooftop bars in Malaysia and in Asia because of its amazing view of Petronas. Expensive for what it is but its all about the view and experience so we give it a go and attended the Mardi Gras Party.

Satay (/ˈsæteɪ/, /ˈsɑːteɪ/ sah-tay), modern Indonesian and Malay spelling of sate, is a dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce.[1] Satay may consist of diced or sliced chicken, goat, mutton, beef, pork, fish, other meats, or tofu; the more authentic version uses skewers from the midrib of the coconut palm frond, although bamboo skewers are often used. These are grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with various spicy seasonings.
