Day 8 of 8
02.25.2011 – Hello, It’s HK Disney day 2 today and for those who haven’t read the first part you can check it out by clicking—Disney Day 1. Moving on, let’s go on with today’s itinerary.
DISNEY HOLLYWOOD HOTEL
The park opens at 10:30am and as we wanted to maximize our stay in the park, we make sure to check out earlier than the actual checkout time, we then leave our luggage and stuff at their luggage service for keeping and have a little photo session at the hotel for souvenir. We love the Hotel’s interior and exterior detailing and so we make it a point to have several shots taken inside and outside this Hollywood inspired hotel. This is actually my second stay and I am still loving it, although hopefully I can visit and experience the more poshy and upscale Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
We utilize the free shuttle again and reach Disneyland in no time and we all decided to go straight to Fantasyland by riding the HK Disneyland Railroad train that stops at Fantasyland. We have our brunch here and get the exact order that we had last night—Braised Beef and Fried rice. After lunch, we allow the kids wishes to explore both Fantasy Land and Tomorrowland again.
Around 1pm we headed to Adventureland to see Tarzan’s House, Liki Tikis and we also get to experience the Jungle River Cruise which is available in both Chinese and English. Make sure to properly line at the right cruise.
FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING
Experience Hakuna Matata Live! This is an exciting musical tale of the Lion King. A colorful and musically enrich retelling of the ruler’s adversity and fulfilling destiny. The actors, actresses, characters, and the props are truly world class. In the end, you’ll surely love Simba, Timon, Pumba and its compelling story accented by the movie immortal songs such as “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”And of course, the spectacular ending wouldn’t be complete without the heart-stirring rendition of “Circle of Life”.
SLEEPING BEAUTY CASTLE
I guess there’s a little bit about us, especially the little ones, that’s wishing to become a royal, a prince and a princess even for a day and that’s why most of the visitors if not all who visited Disney will take a few snaps of this make-believe castle. And as planned, we’re one of those people who come and celebrate their 5th Anniversary.
FLIGHT OF FANTASY PARADE
COMET CAFE (HK$100- $200)
Located in Tomorrowland, typically your regular American fast food that serves fries, burger and chicken. And since you’re in Disneyland, expect to pay double or triple the regular price.
