I really don't have any downside to rattle. In fact I really do love our stay here and will be back with the whole family soon.

I. BOOKING

I booked this hotel via Agoda though you may check different booking sites or book directly from Accor. Comparing rates and promos will give you options that is suitable according to your preferences but I personally like Agoda for its current actual reviews from travelers and the most important thing is that it works for me. If you’re a frequent traveler then you may apply for an ibis advantage card for more savings and additional benefits for a mere fee. Anyways, as usual booking was fast and easy as I am used to this site and booked several hotels in Agoda a lot of times already.

II. CHECK-IN

We arrived Bangkok past 12 in the evening and we were glad to know that there is an open bar and 24 Hour room service available for hotel guest convenience. The check-in process was a breeze and just like any other hotels, a deposit is needed for your stay which is actually refundable when you check-out.

III. THE ROOM

As for the room, I decided to get the superior double room. I really don’t mind adding few more bucks but since most of the time we will be out for shopping, getting a basic room is economical or should I say more practical since we will be out all through out the day. For as long as its safe and comfortable, We’re okay with it. I could say that the room is spacious (for Asian standard), clean and totally new. Design wise its modern, fun and relaxing. Ruminating the price I paid, I think it’s more than enough and knowing that this is under Accor management I know that I’ve made the right decision.

IV. EXTRAS

Staff were polite and Thais are known for their smiles so most of the time you’ll see them smiling and will assist you accordingly. Service is real good as I have few request granted with a smile, I also asked for extra pillow, they gave it to me for free and a change of beddings on our third day is served with a smile. There’s an actual sample of bed in the reception area so that guest can check the quality of beds they’re offering. Plus there’s more to love, the historical Chao Phraya River view was magnificent, free shuttle, working internet corner and their pool is quite tempting considering the weather in Thailand plus its free wifi during my stay so it was really worth it.

V. CHECKOUT

As with the check in procedure, checkout was quick and hassle free. I waited for few minutes since there’s a couple of persons ahead of us checking out.

VI. LOCATION

The main reason why I chose this hotel is their access to Chao Phraya river. For the last 3 years this is my only stay near the river of the kings. If you have extra budget, you can stay on a more upscale hotel like Shangri-La and Amari but if your budget constraint then this is not a bad choice either. If you’re new to Bangkok, this place is a little bit far from central place like Siam, Sukhumvit and or Pratunam but they’re offering free shuttle up to the nearest BTS (BTS Saphan Taksin (0.6 Km) Station that makes the place accessible to the rest of the city. The neighborhood though a bit back from the main street is still safe to walk at night. There’s also a 7-11 convenient store about a minute walk. Local eateries and hawkers are also available near the said 24 Hour store. Chatting and Munching the night away while enjoying the river of the king was one of the highlight of our stay.
