Day 5 of 9
Hi everyone, it’s Day 5 already and for today, we went shopping at Lotte Mall & had a chance to take a peek at the famous Lotte World. We decided not to go inside the Lotte World due to time constraint and at the same time, we were thinking that it will be great to visit this theme park with the kids.
1000 – 1600 Lotte Jamsil
1600 – 1700 Toms N Toma
1700 – 1900 Rest Period
1900 – 2100 Saturday Night in Seoul
2100 – 2300 Stroll
LOTTE Department Store
I chose Hotel Cello because of its price and location. From the hotel, we walked for a few minutes and reach Lotte entertainment complex which includes a 5 star hotel, indoor and outdoor theme park and of course Lotte Mart & department store.
After the simple brunch, we shop a little at Lotte Department store for some make ups, winter shoes and hair products.
FYI : Lotte is a multinational conglomerate based in South Korea and Japan and founded by Shin Kyuk Ho and was established in 1948. Their business group caters food products, retail, amusement parks, hotels, construction, trade, oils and even handles sport teams like the Lotte Giants in Korea and Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan (Based on Wiki)
After shopping, we stop in Lotteria and grab something to eat. We had fries, chicken and burger. Lotteria is another subsidiary of Lotte and is very popular in Korea and Japan.
Later, we continue our wandering and find out a little exhibit of some famous KPOP and Hallyu stars. Of course, we stop and pause to take a souvenir of our favorites.
Lotte World is one the biggest theme parks in Korea and a must for thrill seekers. The park is renowned for its jaw-dropping and heart-thumping rides — the Gyro Drop, Flume and Pirate Ship. It also boasts an indoor skating rink, folk museum and parades similar to Disney. As much as we wanted to, we decided to skip the Lotte World as we ought to be back with the Kids.
After Lotte, we go back to our accommodation to take a rest but ended up sipping coffee again and this time in TomN Toms. You can find coffee shops here practically every where.
After Lotte, we decided to go back to our accommodation to rest, but we ended up sipping coffee again and this time in Tom N Toms. We stay there for a quite sometime and later-on proceed with our initial plan. At the hotel, we nap for a couple of hours and soon after, go out again for a Saturday Night in Seoul. And since the accommodation is in the heart of the city, we just walk and settled in the restaurant above the Tom N Toms coffee shop we tried earlier.
After the delightful dinner, we went for a stroll despite the frosty weather. We walked around the frozen lake in Songpa Gu and soon enough, we are craving again for another cup of hot coffee to keep us warm, maybe because we are really freezing that time and luckily stumble to another local shop called Coffee N Ccubi Ccubi. We ordered the usual. Now, I conclude that Korea is a nation of coffee drinkers.
After coffee we headed back to our hotel, hit the bed and sleep the night away. Good Night everyone and See you on my next post. As always, Happy Reading 🙂 If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to use the comment area below. 💋
