From Seoul Station we flagged a taxi down to Stay in Gam Hostel and to make it easier and free from trouble make sure to print out or save the Hotel name and address in Hangul this will help the taxi in finding this place. The managers of this hostel are super accommodating and so the check-in process was fast and hassle free.

The Rooms

The assigned twin room is ready and waiting for us. The room is spotless, adequate and spacious enough for a couple. I also love its minimalist design which makes the room looks cleaner and clutter free. The room smells nicely especially for hostel and I like the idea of thick comforter since its wintertime. The heated ondol floor is a plus and its always nice and relaxing to step on it after walking endlessly the whole day.

We chose twin room instead of bunk bed which is cheaper if you want to save. Double room is quite expensive so we settled down with the twin room.

I love hostel/hotel who’s very much keen with branding.

Our room is within a unit which has 3 rooms, shared bathroom/toilet and kitchenette. The hostel offers different kind of room for specific group of travelers. Bunk Beds or Dormitory type for big groups, family room and double room for couples.

Located at the top area of the hostel is their special suite room

Their suite room is more spacious of course and comes with flat tv and lounge

The Extras

What I love about this hostel (and most Korean hostels) is that you can prepare your own food, kitchenette is commonly available with electronic kettle, microwave, toaster, cooking and eating utensils. They also provide free breakfast and usually included in the rates. Self service laundry also comes handy if you need to wash and dry clothes which is very essential to backpackers with limited set of clothings. They also have bar that serves simple dishes and nice beverages.

For family room, you have your own dining area.

At Check-Out

Same with Checking-in, Checkout was fast and easy, the manager and the owner also helps us with our luggage and guided us to the nearest airport bus stop which is a stone throw away. If you need to ask anything just ask the receptionist or whoever in the area and they are more than willing to provide help. Bonus. They speak English very well too so its really hassle free.
