Hotel Review ✭ Fraser’s Place Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Fraser’s Place Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (✭✭✭)

Hello wanderlust! I’m up with another Hotel Review and this time in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, this afternoon, I listed down all the hotels that I’ve stayed and somehow I made up my mind to blog the accommodations in every country or city that I’ve been to. I’ve got a number of drafts already and I wanted to start with Fraser’s. I’ve stayed here in 2010 and that was years ago, so please bear in mind that there might be some changes in the hotel now.

Booking and Checking-In

Two weeks before our arrival in Malaysia, I booked a studio deluxe with breakfast via AGODA for its rate and location. Booking online was really easy just a few clicks and I’m good to go! My husband (my forever travel buddy) and I landed Malaysia past 12 in the morning, and soon after clearance, we get a cab to the city centre that took us 45 minutes and there it goes I saw the Fraser’s place sign and it was a relief knowing that I can rest anytime soon.

The whole checking-in process was fast maybe because they knew how tired we were from the 4 hour flight plus the long airport sops. Mind you that you need to print out your Hotel Voucher if you book via AGODA for hassle free checking-in. We were a given a room in the 13th floor and its a non smoking area of which I requested for the reason that I have asthma. After checking the unit, I am quite happy to know that I’ve made the right decision since the place is relatively new (that time) and its divinely clean.

The photo above is their reception area and is in higher floor of the building. This photo was taken when we’re about to check-out. You can see that they have an amazing interior and the choice of colors are so refreshing since they use lime green, coral and white.

Rooms and Accommodation
The rooms are perfect for a couple like us and it will be spacious enough if you’re bringing your kids too. The color used in the room are lively with hint of violet, lime green, coral and brown almost the same with the one you can see at the reception. I like it over the usual hotel color since it gives you the edgy vibes without looking cheap. The flat screen and the iPod docking system with DVD Player is a plus! One more thing WIFI is free.

Another feature that we adore as couple is the Bathroom. The huge window see-through wall is perfect for honeymooners that makes you and your love-one’s bathing intimate. The Hotel toiletries were from Peter Thomas Roth collection and I just love it! It works wonder and smells heavenly. Since its new from that time you can expect that the whole room is clean.

Amenities as expected.

What makes this room extra special is that it has kitchenette and its fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils. The photo above will explains it very well. The tools will be very handy if you like to prepare your own food.

Other Features
For the price that we have paid for it is surely worth it because all the amenities you need is available whether you’re a couple, business travelers and or a family with kids. There is nothing special about the breakfast though but its included in the rates so no more fuss about it. They have spectacular infinity swimming pool on 18th floor with an amazing scenic view of the KL Skyline. They also have Gym, Spa and Game room perfect free of use.

THE BREAKFAST – Its very basic but its okay since its included in the rate that we’ve paid for. Though I suggest that they need to improve on it to attract more guests. Starbucks and other restaurants are walking distance so if incase you don’t like the free breakfast you can always walk for few minutes to get your ideal morning starters 🙂

Bored? Then you can head to 18th floor to enjoy their Infinity Pool with an amazing view of KL Skyline. We enjoy their spa and had a little wii time together with my husband. This is great for family with kids since they can enjoy the place without even stepping out of the service apartment.

Location & Accessibility
This hotel / serviced apartment is conveniently located at the city center. Main attractions like Petronas Twin Tower, KLCC and some premium shopping mall like the Suria are within 5-10 minutes of walking. Clubs and Restos are within reach. Access to other part of the city is possible via the near LRT and Mono Rail Station. From the airport you can hail a taxi or use bus if you’re on a tight budget that will head to KLCC. I have provided here the location map so it will be easier. TIP : Just print this out and you can show it to the taxi driver.

Loves & Rants

Hmm… well all in all I love my stay here and will come back if ever I will go to KLCC again. I highly recommend this if you want something beyond regular hotels since this more of a serviced apartment you can expect a spacious room. I just hope that in time they will eventually upgrade their breakfast in terms of choices. Staff were polite but a little cheery mood will go a long way. And oh by the way I forgot to mention they have 4 -6 iMacs that you can use located at the reception area just in case you want to search or email something. Ask me if you have any questions and would be gladly to answer soon as I can. Next review for Malaysia would be Trader’s Hotel so be sure to check out my blog every now and then. ^_^ Stay Happy 🙂

  2. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification
seemed to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware
of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people think about worries that
they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
