Traveling as a family is a great experience.

Last 2011 was one of the most memorable years in my life for so many reasons, good and bad events happens but most of them are good memories that I am keeping in my heart, Aside from that I gave birth to my youngest daughter Dwyane, I was able to fly to 4 countries and roam in more than 10 significant asian cities in 6 months and not to mention I’m with my family during those trips. I am so happy that in-spite of our busy schedules; my sister works in Qatar, my brothers have their own schedule as well in School and in their work, my niece, nephew and my daughter also have their school to attend to, My parents also have their own businesses that need to be managed but we were able to work things out and come up with this trip – a 15 day tour to Hongkong and Macau.

You all know sweetie that Traveling is my greatest addiction maybe because I have a lot of travel recollections during my childhood that gives me this travel bug syndrome. My whole family loves to travel and I can still remember that we have a lot of excursions and getaways when I was still young but after the marriage those trips are very seldom simply because most of us have our own responsibilities with our job and busy with the budding family each of us have.

As others would have known, all of my trips were DIY (Do it Yourself) and I don’t have any experience of arranged or package tour at all except those educational field trips way back elementary, highschool and college days. DIY as I would like my journey to be basically more personalized with my preferences at my pace. So with this trip, I booked everything from the plane ticket up to the hotel accommodations and I could say that its hard to pile things up and compute for everything but it was all worth it.

It may take a lot of money, time, and all sorts of coordination but this is surely a great and enriching experiences for all of us. As what I’ve said earlier as a child, I have lots of travel experiences and same way I would like my kids to have those perspective too regarding the importance of travel and its effect to you as individual and human being.

I listed down why traveling together is a great experience;

  1. It will make you more closer trust me!
  2. Gives you guys more quality time – the amount of time that you will be able to spend together. It will give you more uninterrupted time that long works and school activity usually prevents you.
  3. You would be surprise about a trait that your family member has/have simply because the travel was the only chance for him/her to show you that he/she is great into something like directions, memorizing other languages *my daughter knows few chinese words, riding extremes *I never thought my mom can ride a rollercoaster and high drop abyss. Those were just few samples.
  4. You will experience new activities together like riding a gondola, running into snow and stuff like that.
  5. It helps to rekindle and reestablish relationships that at times get incidentally submerged under busy routines.
  6. The excitement makes it more special and the delight to see each others happy is even more special.

Check out some of the coolest photos taken during our trip and you can see in our faces how happy we was and still is.
